3D Cover Art for My Upcoming Novella Vampire Hunters: Prelude

Yes, I cheated. I threw these together using Adobe Photoshop. While they're not the real thing, they still offer a tantalizing preview of the final product. Which do you prefer?

  1. Though the font is pretty on the first one, its simply much easier to read on the second. I vote second cover.

  2. I'm with D. F. If you could find a font not quite as ornate as the first it would be better. From a distance it will be hard to read. Or maybe just use the fancy first letter, and tone down the rest of the word to something similar but cleaner? Just some thoughts.

  3. Thanks for your input! I am captivated by the ornate font in the first one, but I have to agree, it does upstage the image. The bottom one is also more readable. Decisions, decisions...but a nice problem to have! :D

  4. Just dropping in to take a look at your cover work! I like the first one, but agree that the font just isn't readable from a distance, and would be hard to decipher in a thumbnail. But I don't like the second font. It doesn't ring true with what I get out of your writing. Maybe something in the middle? Or something close to the first that is a little clearer? Can't wait to see what you decide to go with!

  6. Got 4 of the 21 chapters edited. Still a long way to go, but a good start.
