    Hi Scott, do you use Select or do you list in other places as well? Would love some advice since I'm just about to start with KDP and am wondering what to do.

    Yes, I'm big on KDP Select right now. Almost all of my titles are available there right now. I am concerned about the new changes to the algorithms, so I will eventually put my works in other stores in the near future. Still I'm doing well off my sales, just not as well as before.

    If I were you, I would bypass KDP Select and put your work up on as many platforms as possible, or at very least, Smashwords, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Once you have a few titles, set one of them permanently to free via the Amazon price match (tell them that your title is currently free on Smashwords) and put the others at full price. Having a 99-cent title is also key.
